Jamari Murray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westside Funeral Home - Palmetto on Mar. 19, 2026.
Jamari Lamond "JB" Murray, a native of Palmetto, Florida, was born on May 30, 1998, in Bradenton, Florida. Jamari was the first born son to Shamika Murray and son to James Barnes, Jr. Jamari departed this life on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026.

Jamari accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John First Baptist Institutional Church of Palmetto under the leadership of Dr. Reverend F. D. Brown.

From a young age, he had a passion for sports and community involvement. He played youth sports with the Palmetto Youth Center and the Manatee Mustangs. These experiences helped develop his love for athletics.

Jamari attended Manatee and Southeast High School, where he built lasting friendships and memories. He graduated in 2024.

Jamari was the proud owner and operator of ONO Trucking, LLC. He took great pride in his work and was committed to providing for his family and building a legacy through his business.

Above all, Jamari cherished spending time with his son and family.

He was known for his loyalty, selflessness, and kind heart. Jamari had a vibrant sense of humor and a joyful spirit that brought laughter and happiness to those around him. His presence could light up a room, and he had a special way of making people feel loved and appreciated.

Jamari had a deep love for sports, especially cheering for the University of Alabama ('Roll Tide') football team. Whether watching a game, spending time with loved ones, or simply sharing a laugh, Jamari valued the moments that brought people together.

Jamari will always be remembered as a loving father, devoted son, caring brother, special grandson, and loyal friend.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
