James Alan Sirinek Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Appleyard's Home for Funerals from Jun. 5 to Jun. 6, 2025.
James Alan Sirinek James Sirinek, 64, of Birchwood, Wisconsin passed away in Marshfield, WI on Friday, May 30, 2025 with his family by his side. Jim was born August 27, 1960 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Raymond and Evelyn Sirinek. He grew up on his parents' farm, where he helped build the foundation for the hardworking life he would go on to lead. In 1978, Jim graduated from Birchwood High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years and rose to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class E-5. He was dedicated to his work as a hull maintenance technician and was honored with the Navy Commendation Medal for meritorious service on January 25, 1982. On December 1, 1984, Jim married Sue (Kodesh). In the years that followed, he worked as a heliarc welder in Beaver Dam, WI. Jim and his family returned to Birchwood in 1993 where he took over the Sirinek family dairy farm. Jim cherished time with his family and friends, and there is nothing he loved more than being surrounded by his grandchildren. Known as "Grandpa Jim", he spent countless hours giving tractor rides, taking the four wheelers "out back" and teaching the next generation the ins and outs of the farm and outdoor life. Jim showed his love through the time, care, and steady presence he gave so freely. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sue Sirinek; 3 children, Kristi (Brandon), Laurie (Randy), and Brian (Hayley), 6 grandchildren, Jackson, Brady, Walker, Ayden, Carter, and Emilee. He also leaves behind his mother, Evelyn Sirinek, and 5 brothers, Gary (Pam), Bill, Don (Kris), Mark, Scott (Kelly) and a sister-in-law, Nancy. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond, and brother, Tom. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St John's Catholic Church in Birchwood 10AM followed by interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Military rights will be provided by the Birchwood American Legion Post.
