James T. Alfeld, 74, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday October 16, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Born November 16, 1949, in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of the late Welmar F. and Laura M.(Louden) Alfeld.
James was self-employed for 40 years with Holsum Bakery in Phoenix, AZ until he retired. He later work at South Mountain Golf Course in the club house in customer service. He loved playing golf, watching the Indy 500, Corvettes, and his family. He also enjoyed having his loyal dog Crosby by his side.
James is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rebecca S. (Anderson) Alfeld; two children, his son Jeffrey Alfeld (Susan) of Waynesboro, PA; and his daughter, Julie Naugle (Guy) of Loup City, NE; one sister; Barbara Webster (Mike) of Henderson, Nevada; five grandchildren; Curtis Alfeld of Waynesboro, PA, Justin Alfeld (Katie) of Salt Lake City, UT, Logan Lawry of Ishpeming, MI, Alycia Kruger (Alex) of Denver, CO, and Kaylee Alfeld of Danville, NY.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; his son, Thomas (T.J.) Alfeld, and his grandson, Mason Alfeld, his siblings, William Alfeld, Stanley Alfeld, Judith Rothgeb, and Larry Alfeld.
