What a day! July 13, 1951, Jimmy Anderson, entered the world. He was the third and last child in a family of five. Jim was loved by his mom and dad, Virginia and Gerald Anderson and spoiled by his big sister, Dee Knight, and his late brother, Jerry Anderson. He accepted Jesus into his life at the early age of six and he loved music. Jim often thought it necessary to help the Minister of Music by standing up in the church pew, turning around and directing the congregation behind him. He followed his love for music by obtaining music degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jim served the Lord most of his life as a Music Worship Pastor.
At an early age, he met Janet, the person with whom Jim would spend the rest of his life. They knew right away that it was a lifetime relationship. Besides loving each other, they were best friends. Their motto was to treat each other every day better than they would treat company. A new addition was added to their relationship with their son, Jeremy. The circle continued to grow with the addition of Jeremy's wife, Mayla and three precious grands; Aubrey, Avery and Brooks.
Jim was a man that operated from his heart. He was gentle, kind, and had a great sense of humor in every situation. Jim was untraditional when it came to religious rituals and believed deeply to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" and to "Love your neighbor as yourself".
Jim is in perfect health today and with the Lord.
Services will be held at Beachside Community Church on January 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.; in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
