Jim served his country in the US Air Force Secret Service. He guarded an airplane in Spain. Returning from his service, Jim met Sharon Louise Duncan he married and loved her for 11 years this Union led to three beautiful daughters: Carmin Louise, Michele Renee and Nicole JoLynn. Jim and Sharon lived in St. Louis Missouri close to their parents for the first five years of their marriage. Then decided with their third child on the way they wanted to move to the country and purchased a home in Cedar Hill Missouri. Jim worked for Sunnen products company in Maplewood, Missouri for over 25 years. This company produced honing and drilling tools plus other products. Jim worked his way up to management. Around this time in his life his marriage to Sharon dissolved in divorce Jim remarried when he met Shirley Thomas of Perryville Missouri. Whom he met at Sunnen company and they moved in and lived together at a cute home across the street from Sunnen company. Many years of love and marriage, enjoying their time together living in Maplewood Missouri. Besides automobiles, Jim loved gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was a man who wanted to run his own business besides working his regular job. He started selling fresh fruit and vegetables at downtown Soulard market, and other markets locally. later in life, Jim and Shirley opened a Venetian blinds shop in downtown Maplewood for a couple of years. One of Jim's favorite hobbies was making homemade wine and beer. He also enjoyed hunting and going fishing with family members and friends. Jim lost his lovely Shirley in 2000 and he decided to move closer to his mother in Saint Charles Missouri. By this time he was retired from Sunnen Company and briefly enjoyed being a concierge at AmeriStarr Casino in Saint Charles,Mo. Jim met Sharon Fisher at this time and loved and cared for each other to the time of his passing through those Golden gates of heaven this week. Jim survived by his daughters: Carmin Louise and husband, Thomas Ball of Sullivan, Missouri; Nicole JoLynn Davis and fiancé Denny, Tierney of Robertsville, Missouri; stepdaughter, Kim(Thomas) Drapp; Sharon Louise Apollo, his first wife of
Cedar Hill, Mo. His: sisters: Penny Germann and husband, Phil of O'Fallon Missouri and Debby Chambless of O'Fallon Missouri; special friend, Sharon Fisher of O'Fallon Missouri: three grandchildren, Taylor Michele Davis and fiancé Tony Welker; Megan Joyce Davis and fiancé Trevor Meyer; Kailey Louise Davis and fiancé Tiffany Gilpin: three great grandchildren, Nathaniel Davis and AJ and Luke Welker; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces,nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father; by his young daughter, Michele Apollo, who suffered from a rare blood disease, Fanconis Aplastic anemia. His second wife, Shirley Apollo; his brother Tommy Apollo of Saint Charles, Missouri. He also had two favorite dogs, Rascal and Rascal,II. All in heaven now and rejoicing in his presence with them in heaven. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Chapel Hill mortuary, 6300 Highway 30
