James Britton Arnett Jr., 50, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Born in Orlando, Florida, he has been a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He was a cost accountant with Florida Food Products. James founded the Lake County RAVE travel baseball organization, was a member of the Greater Orlando Baseball organization, and served as umpire in chief with Lake County Babe Ruth Baseball. James was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed collecting baseball cards and sports memorabilia. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and extreme ziplining. James is predeceased by Stepfather, Nick Niemcow. He is survived by his Mother, Debra Niemcow of Orlando, FL; Sons, Damon Arnett of Leesburg, FL; Nicholas Arnett of Leesburg, FL; Daughters, Danyale Arnett of Bronx, NY and Kaylee Adams of Orlando, FL; Brother, Corey Arnett of Orlando, FL; Sisters, Kelli Wehr of Gotha, FL, and Stacy Niemcow of Orlando, FL; 6 Grandchildren, Alijah Garcia, Carson Arnett, Maddox Arnett, Abel Arnett, Bellalise Claudio, and Ashton Arnett; and by numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Pat Thomas Stadium on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 240 Ball Park Rd. Leesburg, FL 34748. The family will receive guests starting at 3 PM until the 4:30 PM service time. Bring your glove for a round of catch on the field following the service.
