James Arnold Obituary

Visit the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemeteries website to view the full obituary.
Mr. James Nathan Arnold, Jr., age 72, affectionately known as "Nate" to all who knew and loved him, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Carrabelle, Florida.

Nate was born on September 6, 1953, in Panama City, Florida, where he spent most of his life. He was a graduate of Bay High School, where he met the love of his life, Denise "Dee" Simonds Arnold. The two shared 47 wonderful years of marriage together.

A natural-born salesman, Nate spent many years driving trucks for Flowers Bakery and Lewis Bear Company before transitioning into RV sales and management, where he truly excelled in his profession. Nate never met a stranger and had a gift for connecting with people wherever he went.

He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved spending time on the water, as well as enjoying the company of his family and close friends. Those who knew Nate will remember his easygoing nature, warm personality, and the joy he found in life's simple moments.

Nate was preceded in death by his loving wife, Denise "Dee" Arnold; his parents, Doris Arnold and James Nathan Arnold, Sr.; his grandson, Knox Glaze; and his nephew, Denny Proctor, Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Lisa K. Arnold and James "Matt" Arnold (Michelle); his beloved sisters, Susan Arnold-Addy (Dale), Patti Hall (Larry), and Jenni Gazzea (Mike); his grandchildren, Abigail Mackie, Bodie "Bo" Barlup, James "Matthew" Arnold, Jr., and Megan Arnold; his nephews, Keith Hall, Chad Jenkins, and Adam Jenkins; countless other cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his very special friend, Babs Bailey.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
