Chester Joseph Brady Jr.

Chester Joseph Brady, Jr. 84, of Lynn Haven Florida passed away on March 5, 2026 surrounded by his daughters and grandsons. Chester was born on October 14, 1940 in Belleville, Illinois. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 28 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. Chester then worked over 25 years at Berg Steel Pipe Corporation and retired as a Production Shift Supervisor. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching college football and car racing. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his soulmate and wife, Brenda Brady who he was married to for 56 years before she preceded him in death and he missed very much.

Chester was a loving husband and incredible father and Paw Paw. He was loved by so many, a friend to everyone and always stepped in to help those in need…even strangers. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Brady and Kathi Brady Young and his grandsons, Benjamin Brady and Nolan Young as well as his brothers, Clifford "Skip" Brady (Beverly), Charles Whitecotton (Karen) and Ron Whitecotton (Kim). He also leaves behind many extended family, nieces, nephews and friends that were like family.

He is also preceded in death by his Father, Chester J. Brady, Sr. and his mother, Gladys McIntosh Whitecotton, his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Peters, (Betty's husband Ronald "Ron" Peters and their sons Russ and Randy), his sister Mary Ellen Gossman, and his brother, Robert "Bob" Brady. He was very close to Brenda's large family and shared in grieving the passing of those family members as well.

Chester will be meeting Brenda and their best friends Joseph "Joe" and Gwen Spalding who have all made their way ahead of him and have been waiting.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405. Visitation will begin at 9:00am and the Funeral Service at 10:00am with Pastor Keith Jennings officiating. A military processional will follow to Evergreen Memorial Gardens for Graveside Services with full military honors.
