James Roger Bakeberg was born along with his twin sister on May 5, 1938 to Delmar and Margaret (Kamin) Bakeberg in Ortonville, MN.
Jim was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. He attended school in Ortonville, MN and was drafted into the US Army in 1961. He was stationed in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

The family would like to thank Meadow Lake for the amazing care they gave "JB" for the past 4 years. Their care and compassion were greatly appreciated. Also, thank you to the Sioux Falls VA for the wonderful care during the last 5 months and the heartfelt and honorable salute at the end of his life.
