James "Jim" C. Barth, 88, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on May 4, 2025.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League.
Jim was born on October 29, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Winfield W. and Lula M. (Hammon) Barth. He came to Dubuque to attend Loras College, and later used his education to work as a teacher for ten years. He also volunteered at the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Jim honorably served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy.
