James Baynard

James Baynard(Jimmy) was born on September 4, 1939 to the late Charles Scott Jr and Mary Ann Baynard. His upbringing consisted of multiple family members and non-family members, one of which was the late, Martha Collins. He peacefully completed his life's journey on October 16, 2025.

James worked hard most of his life. In his younger years, he was a DJ with Night Train & Company and had various other jobs. He finally settled on a career with New Castle County Parks & Recreation and retired in 2014. He went on to work part-time at a local convenience store to keep busy. James enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Alverta; daughter, Michelle; and brother, John.

He is survived by 2 sons, James and Dion (daughter- in- law, Pertrina); 2 daughters, Charmaine and Corvette; a brother, Robert Collins; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.
