Janet C. Baynard

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Nana and Mother, Janet Scott Baynard at the age of 77. A woman of timeless grace and impeccable style she lived her life as beautifully as she dressed - always with purpose, poise and a touch of lipstick. Born on April 9, 1948 in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania, Janet brought beauty into the world not only through her skilled hands but through the warmth of her heart.

A gifted cosmetologist by trade, she helped countless clients see themselves as radiant as she always saw them. Her creativity extended far beyond the salon chair. She was a talented portrait artist and painter. Her handiwork captured the vibrance and love that defined her spirit. Nana was elegance personified yet her class never overshadowed her kindness, especially when it came to her family. Her hugs offered comfort only a mother (and grandmother) could give. Her presence turned ordinary moments into cherished memories.

She is survived by her son Lawrence Scott DeSimone, his wife Ann Marie Orshesky and her granddaughter Madelyn Elise DeSimone of Gap, PA, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love, creativity and beauty.

A celebration of her remarkable life will be held in spring. Though our hearts ache with her loss we find comfort in knowing her spirit is with the Lord and her beloved husband Thomas H. Baynard who passed away in 2023.

She was and forever will be our beautiful Nana.
