James Edward Beasley, 84 years of age, of Lyles, TN, passed away January 20, 2024, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville, TN.

James was born October 27, 1939, in Bon Aqua, TN, to the late Oline (Taylor) and James Fred Beasley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Beasley; daughter, Theresa Hedge; brother, Danny Beasley; and sister, Fredia Shear. Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Mark Beasley and Troy (Gail) Beasley; daughter, Amy Woodward; seven grandchildren, Diana Beasley, Dusty Beasley, Trent Beasley, Caleb (Ashley) Thomas, Leslie Davidson, Danielle Yates, and Tina Marie Beasley; eight great-grandchildren, Kaia, Cade, Cameron, Hannah, Grayson, Harper, Wheeler, and William; and one great-great-granddaughter, Bristol.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume Friday, January 26, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2024, in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with speakers, Dudley Daniel and Scott McClung. Interment will follow in Bon Aqua Church of Christ Cemetery with Military Honors.
