BRUNSWICK - James W. Beddow Jr., 77, of Troy New York passed away at his home on February 27, 2024, in the loving arms of his family. He was born in Cohoes, New York the son of the late Loretta (Diotte) Beddow and James Beddow Sr. He was educated at St Joseph's Elementary in Cohoes, New York and Cohoes High School.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marie; his children, John, Linda, Missy, Jimmy (Kate), Christopher (Ashley), Ciara (Dylan); his sisters, Marilyn Pelletier, Colleen Tremblay, Loretta Stoliker and Janet Dunn (Michael); his 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Jimmy had a lifelong career in the Food service industry predated by his devotion and honorable service in the United States Marine Corps. He spent his retirement enjoying his couch, his deck, casinos, time as the neighborhood mayor, conversations with his neighbors and the birds that came to his feeders. His three youngest loves Addy, Theo and Logan held a special place in his heart. He shared with them the love of his couch and SpongeBob. Jimmy was predeceased by his brother, Edward Beddow and sister, Linda Jarvis.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 4-7 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church Williams Road Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Rice, Pastor.
Interment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
