James Rolfe Beith

James Rolfe Beith, (28) of Burkeville VA, passed away tragically on June 1st, 2022. He is survived by his parents; Reverend Paul Beith and Sharon Beith, of Burkeville; Katy Beith of New Orleans, and Mary Beith of Norfolk. James is also survived by his aunt, Sylvia Riley (Lin); uncles, Calvin Beith and Cliff Tinney (Carla); and cousins, Kelly Riley, Dr. Claire Riley Gerke, Lane Tinney, Jordan Hall, Weston Tinney, and Carson Tinney.

James was quite an accomplished cook, and one of his favorite places to work was Riverside Cafe in Myrtle Beach. His deepest passion was music. He and his closest friends formed the band Hallway Girl, performing original songs as well as covers. He brought joy to many through his music. James loved spending time with his family at the ocean and playing soccer. His friends and family will always remember his laughter, his energy and his compassion for others.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30 pm on Monday, June 6 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. His service will be conducted by his dad, the Reverend Paul Beith and a close friend, the Reverend Shane Gallagher, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7 at Burkeville Baptist Church, 222 Agnew St. Burkeville, VA 23922. Interment to following at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
