With deep love and sadness, the family announces that our beloved James "Jimmy" Bell, age 74, entered the Lord's heavenly home on Saturday, October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home.
Born in Woodruff on September 27, 1951, he was the son of the late William Holmes Bell, Jr. and Virginia Southern Bell. Jimmy served his country as a member of the Army National Guard and retired after 29 years at Southern Aluminum. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend whose kindness and gentle spirit touched all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jean Sulton Bell; children, Karen Marie Bell and Amberly Gregory (Johnny); grandchildren, Jessica Navarro (Anthony), Amber McConnell (JT), Zech Wilson, Kristen Pressley (Chase), and Elizabeth Prince (Hunter); great grandchildren, Ayden Chickey, Anna Grace McConnell, Noah Waters, Virginia Waters, Silias Navarro, Luke Harrison, Adalaya Prince, Gentry Prince, Mason Pressley, Blakelee Pressley, and Landon Pressley; and a sister, Janice Campbell (Mike).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Ann Traynham.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at The First Pentecostal Fellowship on Monday, October 27, 2025, conducted by Rev. James Owens with burial to follow at his home in the Bell Family Cemetery, 2687 Bellview Church Rd. Laurens, SC 29360.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will be at the home.
Memorials may be made to The First Pentecostal Fellowship, PO Box 1787, Laurens, SC 29360.
