James Michael “Mike” Bell, age 85, of Joelton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents James Newell and Rosa M. Bell, and his beloved son, Michael Derek Bell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Bell; his sons, Jason Bell (Kristi) and Brandon Bell (Christie); daughter- in law Missy Bell; his grandchildren: Kayla Oliphant (Andy), Michal Bennett (Zach), Caleb Bell (Savannah), Reese Bell (Emilee), Riley Galbreath (Garrett), and Griffin Bell; and his 4 great grandchildren: Zeke, Jaxon & Vivienne Oliphant and James Galbreath.
To say he was a wonderful husband and father is an understatement. Mike showed the love of God and demonstrated that love faithfully to the very end. He ran his race well and his reward is now reality. His faith has become sight as he passed from this life into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mike served faithfully as a deacon at the Sylvan Park Free Will Baptist Church for more than a half century. He also enjoyed teaching the Adult Sunday School class for over 40 years.
