James Billis Obituary
Jim graduated from Pentucket High School in 1974. He retired from Lucent Technology, then worked as an electronic technician for L3 Communications at Boston Logan Airport before moving to Tennessee and then relocated to Florida two years ago to live with his brother where he received treatments and bravely fought a battle with cancer. Jimmy loved the outdoors. He was an avid hockey player, skier and softball player. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his Harley and nature walks.
Jimmy is survived by his brother, Stephen Billis and his wife Deborah, brother in law, Mark Williams, niece Kate and her husband Gabe Rogers and their children Gabriel, Jak and Meadow, nephew Jason and his wife Leborah Williams; and his partner in life, Barbara Meditz and family of Athens, TN. Jim is also survived by his dear cousins and many close lifelong friends. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Constantine and Joan (McCusker) Billis and his sister, Constance Williams.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 8 from 4PM until 7PM, followed by a funeral home chapel service on Saturday, March 9 at 10AM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Groveland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Jim to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 or a charity of one's choice.
