James D. Bluher, Age 76. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Hurd). Dear father of James R. Bluher (Whitney Harvey-Bluher) and Kathryn Mueller (Kevin); loving grandfather of Bryce, Declan, and Clare Bluher and James O., Aira, and Kellan Mueller. Brother of Jan Young, Judie Legg (John), and Jenny Hodges (Jim). Uncle and great uncle to many.

Jim was a loyal fan of Seattle sports. He loved going to amusement parks and water parks (if the water was warm enough!) with his grandchildren. He found it impossible to sit still and always needed a project. For over 2 decades he was "Janitor Jim" at Centerville High School and loved talking to the students. He had an infectious smile and a quirky sense of humor, always willing to lend a hand or ask 'what do you need?" He was also a talented woodworker.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in James' honor to the Glioblastoma Foundation at P.O. Box 62066, Durham, NC. 27715. https://glioblastomafoundation.org/. or the family is requesting donations for a memorial park bench in memory of James at a local park in Centerville, OH please visit https://www.tmcfunding.com/funds/memorial-park-bench/15313/.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 468 Bradley Road, Bay Village, OH. 44140 at 4 PM.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life in the Spring of 2026 in James' hometown of Centerville, OH. More details to follow in the future.
