Deborah Smith Obituary
Debbie grew up in Valley City and graduated from Brunswick High School on June 2, 1982. She attended some college afterwards. With her crafty and creative spirit, she opened up The Blond Baker which she ran from her home sharing her love of baking with friends and family. Her cookies were amazing and she filled every order with care, creating a work of both art and love for her friends and family. Holidays and family were special to her, and she decorated for every occasion with love so that she and her family could enjoy beautiful memories in beautiful spaces.
More than anything Debbie loved being a mom and grandmother. She was a fiercely devoted and loving mother to her four children, Jennifer Smith (Harper Miller), Ryan Smith (Heidi Galloway), Matthew Smith, and Rachel Smith. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to her four grandchildren Persephone, Christopher, Hunter, and Greyson who love her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents James and Ann Minick.
Debbie is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon from 2-4pm.
Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon, OH.
