James R. Blume

James R. Blume, 87, of Wharton, went to be with our Heavenly Father surrounded by the love of his family on September 6, 2025. He was born August 2, 1938 in Dunklin, MO. to the late Joseph L. and Edna Laux Blume. He was a farm boy until he joined the Navy. While stationed in Corpus Christi, he met the love of his life, Elaine Neudek, whom he married on November 23, 1961. He was employed by the City of El Campo in various depts. and retired in 2000 after 15 years as a street sweeper. James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine; children Robert Blume and Renay Williams and husband Jerry; grandchildren Jennifer Garza (Joe), Jessica Terrazas (Arnold), Robert Blume (Tiffany), Charlotte Blume, Crystal Blume, Chelsea Blume, and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin 10:00 am Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Triska Funeral Home with the Funeral Service starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Limas officiating. Graveside services will follow at Garden of Memories. Serving as pallbearers are Arnold Terrazas, James Terrazas, Joe Garza, Jonah Garza, R. J. Blume, and Ryan Garcia.
