Wesley John Strnadel

Wesley John Strnadel, 85, of El Campo, passed away March 7, 2026. He was born on September 27, 1940 in HIllje to the late RJ Strnadel Sr. and Betty Baca Strnadel. Wesley served in the Texas Army National Guard and was a retired farmer and rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Smith Strnadel of El Campo; son, Shannon Strnadel of El Campo; daughters, Kelly Scoggins of Harrison, AR and Leslie Strnadel of San Antonio and granddaughters, Mattie Powers of La Vergne, TN, Gracie Scoggins of Bentonville, AR and Ella Scoggins of Harrison, AR. He is also survived by sisters Norma Lee Muschalek of Edna and Bernadette Medford of El Campo.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, brothers RJ, Jr, Leroy, Ronnie, infant twins John and Ignac Strnadel, and sister Betty Jo Prasek.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 21 at St. Philip Catholic Church with a KC Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. The funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Collins Twum officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Wesley may be made to St. Philip Catholic School.
