With shattered hearts, we share the passing of Scott Anthony Strnadel, 57, of Louise, Texas, who left this world on July 18, 2025. Born April 1, 1968, in Galliano, Louisiana, Scott was the cherished son of Marian Moody Strnadel and the late Billy Norman Strnadel, nephew of Johnny N. Strnadel, and the beloved husband of Desiree Martin Strnadel.
Scott was so much more than the roles he held, though he excelled in each. A proud Texas A&M graduate, he built a life doing what he loved as an Agronomist, later founding Rockin "S" Farm and Ranch, Inc. He poured his heart into his work, not just because he loved the land, but because he loved the people. His relationships with customers, friends, and colleagues became an extension of family, and he often said he was a fortunate man because he truly loved what he did and who he did it for.
Scott's life was defined by qualities we all admire: compassion, humility, loyalty, and a steadfast moral compass. Quiet and private, he never sought recognition, choosing instead to give selflessly and quietly to others. He spoke with intention, led with kindness, and found joy in being present rather than seen. His dry humor, quick wit, and gentle nature made every moment with him memorable.
Beyond his work, Scott cherished the simple joys that made life rich. He found peace in working his cattle and caring for his land, took pride in cooking meals to share, and found relaxation in hunting and fishing trips, along with the many experiences and travels he shared with his wife, lovingly known as "Freddie." He never missed a chance to enjoy a crawfish or crab boil, take in a live music concert, cheer on his Astros, or savor the simple pleasure of fresh cracklin's and an old-fashioned bottled Coke.
Scott's absence leaves an immeasurable void, yet his love, strength, and quiet grace will continue to guide all who were fortunate to know him. He devoted so much of himself to the people he cared for, his community, his work in agriculture, and the life he cherished. Through the connections he built, the memories he created, and the moments he shared, his spirit will live on forever.
In honor of Scott's memory, the family asks that donations be made to Houston Hospice – El Campo Chapter.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held, with details to be shared in the coming weeks.
