James Russell Boring, "Russ," age 66, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2025, at his home in Armagh, Pennsylvania.
Russ was born on November 29, 1959, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He was a man who appreciated life's simple pleasures-time spent outdoors and enjoying a cold beer. Above all else, Russ deeply loved his family and cherished the moments he shared with them. His presence, humor, and love will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Dorothy "Dolly" Boring.
He is survived by his former wife, Carol Boring; his daughter, Abbey Boring; his son, Mark Boring; his beloved grandchildren, Cameron Fanning and Stefan Sanchez; his great-grandchildren, Serenity Leary and Malakai Fanning; and Cameron's girlfriend, Alexia Rose. He is also survived by his brother, Arnold Boring, his wife Rita Boring and their children Jason, Arnold & Guy Boring.
A service to celebrate Russ's life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, with the family receiving friends from 5 PM until a memorial service at 8 PM with Rev. Scott Hamley officiating, at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh.
