Mr. James "Jim" Richard Bottorff, age 82, a resident of Auburndale, Florida went to Heaven on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Bottorff was born January 29, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Francis and Margaret (Lalley) Bottorff. He was an Auburndale resident since 2008 coming from Pennsylvania and a United States Army National Guard Veteran. He was a 1st Degree Knights of Columbus and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and a greeter. Jim career included executive positions at Crown Paper in Philadelphia, Davey Paper in New Jersey, and Clark & Reid in Massachusetts. After retirement he worked as a Doorman for Disney Boardwalk Resort. He enjoyed boating, the ocean, traveling, playing golf, fishing, making people laugh and loved to spend time with his family. Jim is survived by his loving family, wife of 61 years – Genevieve (Welsh) Bottorff; 3 sons – James (Jeannine) Bottorff, Mark Bottorff & Christopher (Rose) Bottorff; 1 daughter – Genevieve (Eric) Gootkind; his brother – Francis Bottorff and sister – Mary (Edward) Shea. He had 6 grandchildren – Delaney, Ashley, Lucas, Andrew, Noah & Katherine; and 3 great grandchildren – Ella, Adeline & Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Robert Bottorff. A memorial service will be held 11 am Friday, November 7th at Immaculate Conception Church, 180 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania
