James G. Bouck Jr., 75, of Rotterdam passed away on Wednesday April 2, 2025. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late James and Eleanor (Valle) Bouck Sr.
He was employed for NYS Tax and Finance as a Remittance Controller. James volunteered for the Red Cross, was the State Director and Investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), was a volunteer for the Rotterdam District 2 Fire Department, and also worked as a Rotterdam EMT as well as a NYS Park Police Officer.
James was passionate about golf, fishing, camping, the NY Giants and the LA Dodgers.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by one brother Tommy Bouck.
James is survived by his loving wife Lynn "Cathy"(Briscoe) Bouck, his children Merideth Janke (Fiancé Christopher), Michael Alderdice (Christina), Douglas Bouck and Daniel Bouck (Christopher), his siblings Michael Bouck (Sheila), Ricky Bouck, Joseph Bouck (Sharyn) and Mary Schrieber (Don). He also leaves behind four grandchildren Matthew Janke, Luke Janke, Caitlyn Alderdice and Marissa Alderdice as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of James' life will be private for family only.
Contributions can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
The family would like to send their sincere thanks to all the nurses and doctors at the Ellis Emergency Department and the ICU.
