James Bourque Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 14, 2025.
James "Jimmy" Bourque

March 21, 1950 - December 13, 2025

James "Jimmy" Bourque, 75, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Jimmy was born on March 21, 1950, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Birchman and Dula Bourque. He was raised in Church Point, Louisiana before moving to Beaumont, Texas, where he built a beautiful life and family in Lumberton.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of forty-eight years, Pamela Bourque, and their children: Tammy Fesco (husband Brent Fesco), Todd Bourque (wife Jesse Bourque), and Kristen Laurie (husband John Laurie). He was a proud grandfather to Taryn Roccaforte (husband Trent Roccaforte), Hunter Fesco, Cade Harmon, Jenna Laurie, Layla Laurie, Kyler Bourque, Kynzleigh Bourque, and a great-grandfather to Grayson Fesco.

He is survived by his siblings, Betty Tullier, Ray Bourque, Gloria Pate, Michael Bourque, Rita Ramsay, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished as his own. He is preceded in death by his parents, Birchman and Dula Bourque, and his sister, Mary Savant.

Jimmy was known for his kind heart, contagious laugh, big smile, his big baby blue eyes, and the way he could make anyone feel like a friend, he truly never met a stranger. He loved the simple joys of life: hunting, fishing, grilling, standing on his back porch, drinking a cold beer, playing cards, dancing, and listening to good Cajun music. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends, making memories that will be treasured forever.

Before retiring, Jimmy worked as a truck driver, a "milk man," as his wife lovingly called him. His warm spirit, and unwavering love for his family made him someone who left a mark on every heart he touched.

Jimmy's legacy of laughter, love, and Cajun spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the residence of Todd and Jesse Bourque. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived.
