Mr. James Edward Broach, Jr. 61, of Blythewood, SC, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Born on February 4, 1964, in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late James Edward Broach, Sr. and the late Barbara Carolyn Broach.
James was a retired elevator technician and avid hunter and fisherman. His biggest accomplishment was being the most cherished husband, father, and grandfather. There was not anything he would not do for the ones he loved. He demonstrated that every single day he spent on this earth. He did his best to teach his children things they needed to be successful in life; morals, values, responsibility and accountability. He will be loved and missed every day until we see him again.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Lisa E. Broach, his brother Darren Broach (Karen), children, Candace Brazell (Scott), Savanah Williams (Tyler), James S. Broach, David Edwards, and April Stroud (Jordan); grandchildren, Lacey Lynn Brazell (17), Justin Scott "JJ" Brazell (13), Sadie Grace Nealy (9) and Sophie James Stroud (2); nieces and nephews, Ashley Collins (Patrick) and Robert Erin Broach; sister-in-law, Vicki Jones; and father-in-law/good friend, David Thomason. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above.
The graveside service for Mr. Broach will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, October 17th, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, SC from 12 until 1:30 o'clock.
