Graveside services for James Buford Browder, 83, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
James was born October 12, 1940, in Oak Ridge, LA, to Robert and Doris Browder and passed away May 6, 2024, in West Monroe, LA.
James served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a family man and loved his late wife, Mercell, dearly. James was also an outdoors man who thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the lake. More than anything else, he adored spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Mercell S. Browder; his parents, Robert L. and Doris Browder; his brother, Ed Browder; and his sister, Madeline Byargeon.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shanna Browder Baugh; granddaughter, Tristyn Baugh; son-in-law, Cliff Baugh; his sisters, Bettye Bailey and Martha Blair; and a host of nieces and nephews.
