James carried the values of service and discipline throughout his life. His greatest mission, however, was one of faith. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, James was known for sharing the gospel wherever he went-from the depths of the Amazon to the steppes of Mongolia and the communities of Honduras. To him, "the world was his church." He never missed an opportunity to pray and share hope and love through the gospel.Locally, James was deeply involved with East Coast Christian Center (ECCC), where he poured his heart into several ministries close to him. Whether teaching youth classes, serving in the jail ministry, or helping at the food pantry, James gave generously of his time and spirit. His presence brought comfort and encouragement to many within his community.James found joy in simple pleasures-especially fishing-and even more so when surrounded by family and friends. He was especially proud of his mangos when they came into harvest. If your timing was lucky enough, he either blessed you with his homemade mango juice or slushy. His refuge was his back porch watching the birds and reading his bible and then eventually get into his hot tube to finish his R&R.He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Angeles S.
