James Wilfred Burnham

James W. Burnham, 82, of Marstons Mills, passed Jan. 25, 2026. I am not dead; I have gone to God's house. Not sure but hopefully I will see you there.

Born in Palmer, MA, and grew up at Mystic Lake Farms in Marstons Mills. James leaves his daughter Jennifer Brown, the best daughter that a dad could ever ask for and Carol Thifault that I love. His grandchildren, Ellie and Tori that I love very much. TJ & Mariah Bryant. Carol Bryant my loving and understanding friend and her husband Tim, nephew John and Niece Linda, John was like a son to me. Nephew Bryan, Jodi Burnham, sister Patsy of CA, and many other relatives. Predeceased by brothers Ray, John, and Richard, and sister Ruth.

Jim drove truck before working for the Town of Barnstable until his retirement in 2011where he had many achievements and awards.

Jim was a gun enthusiast, he belonged to the NRA, G.O.A.L., and BRR&GC where he enjoyed skeet shooting, target shooting, and hunting. Jim had a country band in the sixties, played guitar, Mandolin, and sang at many functions and churches, he also played Santa Claus and made many children happy.

Visitation will be on Tuesday Feb 10, 2026 from 4-6 PM in the Chapman Funeral & Cremations, John-Lawrence Chapel, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills, MA.
