James S. Calnan Sr.

James S. Calnan Sr., 53, of Merrimack passed away at Elliot Hospital on October 30, 2003 following a battle with cancer. Mr. Calnan was born on August 14, 1950 in Lowell, MA the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Burlingame) Calnan. James moved to Allenstown NH in 1979 where he lived for 17 years. Prior to his illness he was a foreman at Smith Pump in Hooksett where he worked for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a passion for collecting and refurbishing firearms. Family members include; four sons, James S. Calnan Jr. of Manchester, Adam Calnan of Gilford, Justin Calnan of Allenstown and Jeremy Calnan of Knoxville, TN; 7 grandchildren, James III, Adam, Lauren, Skye, Brad, Maya, and Colby; two brothers, Paul Calnan of Merrimack with whom James lived and John Howe of Tewksbury; sisters Anne Gilardi of Wilmington, Lillian Mc Keon of New Jersey; brother to the late Joseph Calnan of Haverhill MA. Kathleen Boudreau of Tewksbury MA., Kathy Calnan of Billerica MA. Services will be private.
