We only knew each other for about 17 years but it seemed so much longer than that. You became a friend and a mentor. You taught Jaret gun safety and how to shoot. We talked a lot about guns and politics and watched westerns and lots of Fox News. Had a lot of laughs despite the days you had a lot of pain. You were stubborn as a mule some days but we got through it.
You're surrounded by your family, Teddy, Blackie and Tiger and in the arms of Jesus! I'm so glad you beat the odds so many years ago. You lived a life no one thought you would and I got to spend a small part of my life getting to know you. See you again one day dear friend.
