Humiston Funeral HomeIn Loving Memory of
James Thomas Campbell February 25, 1949 ~~ March 28, 2026
James Thomas Campbell (Jimmy) passed away on March 28th with his kids by his side and love in his heart. He was 77 years old.
He was born in Manhattan in 1949 to Agnes and Thomas Campbell Sr. (both pre-deceased) and had a big family including 7 Brothers and Sisters; Margaret “Penny”, Kathy (pre-deceased), Joanne, Thomas, Debbie (pre-deceased), Robert “Murph”) many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and relatives.
He had three beautiful Children Jessica (Brad), Michael (Ashley) and Kathleen (Nick), and 5 amazing Grandchildren Madison, Veronica, Max, Joseph and Zoe who were the light of his life.
Over the years, he had residences in Miami Beach Florida and Upstate New York. Jim worked in the construction sector, did traffic control flagging and bar tended for fun for years. He loved having a good time, jamming live music with his buddies, being with family and friends, laughing and having a good time with his grands, rooting on Notre Dame Football, Yankees Baseball, The NY Giants, watching NASCAR and watching his Children and Grandchildren enjoy life. Jim was a humble, easy going guy who greeted everyone he met with a warm welcome or funny story. He will be sorely missed each and every day. He was always quick to offer a Dad joke or see the light in a tough situation. He liked black tee shirts with his favorite classic Chevrolet vehicles on them and comfortable jeans.
One of his last wishes was to get to the ocean and see the sunset. He offered that in remembrance, he’d like everyone to try to experience that, take a deep breathe and marvel at the calm waters. His family hopes you all find your way to a sunset lit ocean in his honor. He’d like that very much.
The Family is hosting a small Remembrance Celebration of Life on April 10th, 2026 at the Kerhonkson Firehouse 333 Main St. Kerhonkson, NY 12446 from 4pm-7pm in Jim’s honor. Friends welcome.
