Lyman – James "Jimmy" M. Cannon, 89, of Lyman, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was the loving husband of Martha "Marty" Watson Cannon and the son of the late Ralph W. and Dessie P. Cannon.
Jimmy worked as a laser operator in the engraving department at Lyman Printing and Finishing. He was of the Baptist Faith and served our country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and leather working. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Marty, he is survived by his children, David Cannon (Michelle), and Michael Cannon (Angela); his grandchildren, Steven Kelly (Courtney), Jacob Cannon (Madison), and Gracie Cannon; great grandchildren, Carter, Paisley, and Aiden; his brother, Gary Cannon; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Sara Cannon, Eulala and Adger Pace, Sally and Richard Wellman, Kathy and James Bridwell, Choice and Grace Watson.
Mr. Cannon will be open for viewing Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC 29365. Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Wood Memorial Park, 863 Gap Creek Road, Duncan, SC 29334. Rev. Randy Rush will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Breaking Bread for Jesus, PO Box 430, Lyman, SC 29365.
