I'm so very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. i first met Gene when i was a junior at Texas High School in Texarkana. we became good friends and had great times being teenagers. we worked together at K-Mart foods sacking groceries and double dating and made plenty trips in my VW to Crystal Springs Beach just a few miles away outside city limits.
Gene was a great friend but lost touch after we graduated and went our separate ways. i was also blessed to know his mom and sister Vicki during our friendship. my world has a sense of emptiness knowing now of his passing. my deepest condolences to all of his family. May God bless you, rest in peace my friend. i truly believe we'll meet again and rejoice in His presence. john rushing
