James L. Carter, Age 74 passed away on September 22, 2024.at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born in Drexel, OH on December 16, 1949 to the late Jerry and Henrietta Carter.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Henrietta Carter.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Linda Carter; daughters, Holly (Mike) Walters, Shannon (Steve) Henry, Samantha Carter; son, James Carter Jr.; grandchildren, Michael (Alexa) Jonas, Kristen Jonas, Taylor (Tyler) Burke, Eli (Chelsea) Henry, Jamie Carter, Jayden Henry, Ella Kate Wells, Wyatt Kroenert, Walker Kroenert,; great grandchildren, Ramsey Burke, Carson Jonas; brothers, Jerry Carter, Duane Carter, Gary Carter; sister, Diane Williams; pallbearers, Mike Walters, Steve Henry, Eli Henry, Jayden Henry, Gary Carter, Brinn Kiser; honorary pallbearers, Jeff Allison, Nathan Carter.
Arrangements:
Visitation will be on Thursday September 26, 2024 starting at 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be on Thursday September 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Maston Jackson. Interment to follow at Sand Springs Cemetery.
