It is with profound sadness to share the passing of our father, James Casadonte, at the age of 97. He passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 at Swank Assisted Living.

Jim was born December 9, 1927 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Nick and Dorothy Casadonte. He married the love of his life, Mona Fischer on June 30, 1951 and they were married for 72 years before she passed away on December 30, 2023. Jim had a successful career as the owner of Complete Design Service, a tool and die design business. His greatest passion in life was his wife, Mona there wasn't a day he didn't say he loved her. Jim was an avid golfer, winning several Flint City Seniors amateur golf tournaments. He also loved playing the piano and entertaining at family gatherings. Jim had the ability to make anyone smile and had a wonderful sense of humor even up to the end of his life. He will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity and love for his family.

Jim is survived by his 5 children, Kent (Catherine) Casadonte, Debbie Casadonte, Karen Gall, Jill (Larry) Allingham, and David (Rhonda) Casadonte; sister, Jeanette (Ed) Kohler; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona on December 30, 2023; brother, Robert Casadonte; granddaughter, Rachel Pilara; great-grandson, Jose Guerra. The family is forever grateful to the staff at Swank Assisted Living (especially Pam and Diane).

A Celebration of Life will be held on his 98th birthday, December 9, 2025 at Spring Meadows Country Club 1129 Ripley Rd. Linden, Michigan, 48451 from 12 PM - 3 PM.
