James Harold Cole, age 93 of Camden, TN passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Cole was born on June 28, 1929 in Benton County, TN to the late John Cole and the late Emma Nunnery Cole. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Avis Spence Cole; a brother Ruel Cole; sisters Ruth Fowler Wyatt, Opal Deaton, Pauline Hargis, Corean Craig, Johnelle Moore and a great granddaughter Dasha Roberts. Mr. Cole was a retired Army Veteran and a member of Cowells Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked as a sewing machine mechanic and retired from Bass Manufacturing and later worked at Lowes in Paris, TN. Mr. Cole enjoyed working, collecting old things from the past, gardening, watching Fox News and the “Pickers”, John Deere tractors and his two German Shepherds. Harold loved God, his family, his friends and “working”.

Great Grandchildren: Colin Roberts, Emma Frerking, Mary Frerking, Chloe Rogers, Gage Weatherly, Briar Weatherly, Lucas French, Katie French, Olivia French, Abigal Kirby, Henry Kirby, Sarah Kate Reid, Luke Reid, Laine Thompson
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, June 23, 2023 11:00-1:00 at Oakdale Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 1 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Durwood Worley, Bro. John Holcomb and Bro. Kenn Beal officiating.
Burial will follow in Cowells Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cowells Chapel Cemetery Fund.
