James Arthur Cooper, 77, of Parkersburg, passed away, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1947 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Robert A. and Hazel E. Stanley Cooper.
James briefly served honorably in the United States Army after graduating from Parkersburg High School. He worked at Kroger in stocking as well as management. He enjoyed flying, and was a pilot, as well as dirt bike racing.
He is survived by two nieces, Tammy and Stacy Cooper of El Paso, TX; great niece, Abigail Cooper-Farrow; and great-nephew, Daniel Cooper-Farrow.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Cooper.
There will be no public services. A private interment will be held at Evergreen South Cemetery.
