James Cothran

James Alan Cothran, affectionately known as Jamie, was born on March 1, 1963, in Trenton, Michigan, to the union of Lacy and Virginia (Wallace) Cothran. Jamie passed away on March 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

For many years, Jamie worked as a mold maker for an automotive engineering company, where he earned the respect of his colleagues for his dedication and craftsmanship. Outside of work, Jamie was a passionate sports fan, faithfully following all Detroit teams, and enjoying the thrill of the game.

Jamie had a zest for life that included taking trips with his family and visiting the casino, where he relished the excitement of the games. Above all, he was a devoted grandfather, proudly cheering on his granddaughter, Alexis, at all her softball games, and playing the role of her number one fan.

Jamie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lacy and Virginia Cothran, as well as his siblings Connie, Brenda, Timothy and Charlene.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter, Marissa (Tim Klonica) Cothran, and his cherished granddaughter, Alexis. Jamie is also survived by his siblings: Donna (Tim) Bemis, Kathy Moss, David Cothran, and brother-in-law Bill Perdue, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
