James Patrick Cotter, age 36, of Weymouth passed away suddenly on Monday, November 27, 2023. Jamie was raised in Weymouth where he graduated Weymouth High in 2005. He loved music especially Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, photography, reading, and playing darts. He had recently gone back to school and was looking forward to working in medical imaging.
Jamie was a thoughtful, easy going, loving guy that will be missed by his family and friends.
Jamie is survived by his parents Kevin Cotter Sr. and his wife Sheila (Cameron) of Weymouth, his siblings Kevin Cotter Jr. of Weymouth, Amanda Castillo and her husband Pedro of Hanover, Ryan Cotter of Weymouth, Brianna Cotter of Weymouth, and Brittany Cotter of Weymouth. Jamie is also the uncle to Cameron, Caiser, and Callie Grace and was predeceased by his grandparents Grace Cameron, and John and Barbara (Strout) Cotter.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Jamie on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home Tuesday morning at 9:45am for a funeral service that will begin at 10am. Burial will be in the Hanover Center Cemetery in Hanover, MA immediately following the service.
