James Edward Crosswhite, 58, Killen, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, March 1, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Brother Charles Simmons and Brother Thomas Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery.
James is a 1983 graduate of Colbert County High School, a talented musician, carpenter, landscaper, and electrician. He is an avid fan of NASCAR and Alabama Football. His love of people and fun is evident in his interactions with others, especially at the Iron City Auction House. His passion for antiques and collectibles lead to his new business endeavor of the Cloverdale Auction. James is preceded in death by his father, Jeff Crosswhite; stepfather, Rayburn Johnson; all of his treasured grandparents; and more loved ones.
James is survived by his mother, Loice Johnson. Additional survivors include siblings, Teresa Burden (Joseph), Tammy Reed (Jamie), and Thomas Johnson (Candice); children, Jeffrey, Ashton, and MacKenzie; grandchildren, Darian, Leigha, Natylie, Paisley, and Aubrey; and a motley crew of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Burden, Wesley Burden, Shaun Dalton, Jamie Reed, Rodney Simmons, and Cory Uhlman. Glenn Bevis, his dearest friend, will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Lieutenant Newton, Officer Lambert, First Responders, North Alabama Medical Center, and Morrison Funeral Home.
