James “Jamie” Bert Crouch, 61, of Irving, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2025. He was born on October 15, 1964, in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Melvin Joe Crouch and Virginia Ann Roberts Crouch. He grew up in Irving, where he built a lifetime of memories surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved.
Jamie graduated from Nimitz High School in 1983. Shortly after, he began a long and dedicated career with Lindamood Demolition and Excavation. For over 30 years, he served as a heavy equipment operator and dispatcher, earning the respect of his coworkers through his reliability, strong work ethic, and down-to-earth personality.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Jamie found his greatest joy in nature. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or doing anything that involved being outside, he felt most at peace under open skies and in quiet moments surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors.
Jamie is survived by his loving sister, Debra Crouch Rusche of Irving, and his nephew, Trae Rusche of Irving. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Virginia Crouch.
To honor Jamie’s memory, the family suggests donations to Irving AMBUCS or Wreaths Across America for Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, causes that reflect service, remembrance, and community—values that were important to him.
Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love for the simple things in life will never be forgotten.
