James Daniel Croxson

James Daniel Phillip "Danny" Croxson passed away unexpectedly, June 15, 2025 a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. Born on October 30, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Croxson and Nancy Carr Croxson. Danny was a proud graduate of Rider High School, Class of '71. He was employed by Western Christian Foundation for 23 years, followed by employment at Walmart as a Customer Service Representative. He then pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, graduating from Vernon College with his LVN Certification. He was employed by the Wichita Falls Health Department. Danny was an amazing nurse! After his retirement from the WF Health Department he became very active in the International Student Exchange Program, taking on the position of ISE Area Representative for Wichita Falls and the surrounding area. He connected foreign students with volunteer host families and supervised their stay while in the USA. He also hosted students from many countries in his own home, something that kept him very busy, but brought him so much enjoyment. He had always enjoyed being around young people. Danny loved the outdoors and any activities that allowed him enjoy God's beautiful creation. When his girls were young, he would take them on camping trips which included canoeing. He was a gardening enthusiast, never having enough flowers & plants in his yard. Along with his parents and stepfather Herman Dunn, Danny is preceded in death by his daughter, Summer RoseAnn Perales and his sister Beth Croxson. He is survived by his daughter, Sky Marie Hernandez, her husband Gabriel "Gabe" of Elk City, Oklahoma, his beloved grandchildren, Lydia Kruse, James Maywald, Richard "Ricky" Fuentes, Ceasar Perales, Angel Esquibel, Gabriel Ray Hernandez, Esperanza Swaner, Synthia Hernandez & Sierra Hernandez, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Marqueta Quinn & husband Clint of Temple, Texas, Kathy Gleason of Las Vegas, Nevada, 2 brothers Paul & Daryl Croxson of Mulvane, Kansas as well as many other relatives and loving friends. Danny is also survived by his "Adopted" son, Babu Patel, his wife Manisha, and their 2 boys Kris & Ryan. Danny was proud to call Kris & Ryan his grandsons. This families love & kindness have been a blessing to Danny for many years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the 10th & Broad Church of Christ Family Life Center.
