Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallingford Funeral Home - Wallingford on Oct. 11, 2024.
James T. Curylo, age 64, of Meriden passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024. James, known by many as Jim, was born in Meriden on February 2, 1960. He was the son of the late Alexander and Shirley Fahr Curylo. For 43 years, he was the loving husband of his high school sweetheart, Lisa Dionne Curylo. Jim is also survived by his two devoted sons, Kenny Curylo and his wife Stephanie of Southington, Kevin Curylo and his wife Audra of Wolcott, his four cherished grandchildren Aiden, Gavin, Raelynn, and Colton, his siblings Carol DuPlessis of Meriden, Kathy Ladas and her husband Bill of Naples, Florida, and David Curylo and his wife Helen of East Hampton, his brother-in-law Dan Dionne and his wife Renee of Farmington, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law and fellow Chevy truck owner, Bob DuPlessis.
Prior to his retirement Jim was an accomplished engineer, working for Pratt & Whitney for 45 years. In addition, Jim had many passions including golfing and woodworking, and had a knack for fixing anything and everything. He was on the Board of Directors for the Right Handers Club at Lime Rock Park where he spent many weekends camping with Lisa as he helped at many different races. Jim also enjoyed being an active member and former president of the Meriden Motorcycle Club for many years. Most importantly, though, Jim knew his way around the kitchen and found great enjoyment in cooking for his family who will greatly miss his delicious meals.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, from 10am until 12 noon at the Wallingford Funeral Home 809 North Main Street Ext.
