Jim is now in heaven with his sweet wife of 54 years, Doris Ann Dando; his son, Michael Eugene Dando; his daughter, Deborah Lee Wall; and his son-in-law, Glenn W. Fletcher.
Jim was a graduate of Drury University and later joined and served in the Navy as an Airport Control Operator at Whiting Field in Milton, Florida.
Jim, and his wife, Ann, attended Sunset Church of Christ for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunset Church of Christ, 1222 W. Sunset St, Springfield, MO 65807.
Jim's family-son, Jim Dando Rigsby (Ken) and daughter, Becky Fletcher Knox (Danny), grandchildren, Ashley Whitten (Josh), and Emily Willoughby (Ryan), Elizabeth Anderson (Chason), Audra, Jimmy III, and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Kelly, Maci, Jack, Olivia, and Clara would be honored for you to attend his memorial service.
The service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 25, 2022, at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
