James Dawson was born on January 26, 1990 in Midlothian, VA, to James Dawson and Teresa Dawson.James graduated from attended Amelia County Public Schools. He started his career as a Heavy equipment operator and went on to work for 17 years. James was engaged to Samantha Proffitt. The couple had 2 children, Lorelai (deceased) and Malcolm Dawson. James cared for Sam's son, Brycen like his own as well. James was best known for baseball, hunting and four-wheeling. James is survived by James Dawson - father, Jean Dawson- step mother, Hubert Emerson- grandfather, Samantha Proffitt- fiance, Eric Weyant - brother-in-law, Malcolm Dawson - son, Brycen Volpi - step son, Hayden Weyant - niece, Dawson Weyant - nephew and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. James is preceded in death by Teresa Dawson - mother, Amber Weyant - sister, Lorelai Dawson - daughter The service for Mr. James Dawson will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church. Visitation: Thursday, at 10:00 AM at Union Baptist Church.
Burial: Union Baptist Church, Amelia Court House, VA. Memorial donations can be made in James's name to American Diabetes Association.
