Haisley Funeral and Cremation Service - Fort PierceJames Edward “Eddie” Dean Sr. passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Stuart, Florida, at the age of 75.
Eddie was born on January 5, 1950, in Brewton, Alabama.
Eddie was A dedicated and hard-working man who took great pride in his career as a garbage truck driver, known as "Fast Eddie" by his co-workers.
Eddie cherished the simple pleasures in life—spending time with his family and especially his grandbabies. Cheering on his favorite football teams and watching old Westerns. His warmth and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Andrea) Dean of Pittsburgh, PA, and Brandon Dean of Hobe Sound, FL; and by his beloved grandchildren: Isabella Dean, Salvatore Dean, and Ava Dean. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Susan; his granddaughter, Lexi Dean; his brother, Ricky Dean; his sisters, Gay Ann Deason and Cheryl Allen; and his parents, Frank and Mildred Dean.
Eddie’s legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on through his family and the many lives he has touched.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Private inurnment will take place at White City Cemetery.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
