James Harvey Dearing, age 56, of Dallas, passed away December 1, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. James was born February 15, 1969, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Harvey Cecil Dearing and Brenda Keaton Dearing.
James was a graduate of Albany State with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed by Merck Chemical and enjoyed his long friendships with fellow employees. James loved cars, his knowledge of sports cars was extensive. He enjoyed his Dodge Challenger but loved discussing any car. James was an Avid Georgia Bulldog fan, always pulling for the Dawgs football team. He loved dogs and always had a family pet to spoil. James will be missed by family and friends.
In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Spence and Hazel Phillips Keaton; and paternal grandparents, Cecil and Stacie Williams Dearing.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by his children, Emily Elise Ledet (Christian), Zackery James Dearing, and Joshua Daniel Dearing; grandson, Remy Ledet; and many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Cherryville Christian Fellowship, with Rev. Bobby Holtzclaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
